'La Locanda is a local gem with great Italian Fare'

La Locanda's fine Italian cuisine is a welcome addition to Bronte with affordable, quality dining, where Northern Italy meets the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.

La Locanda (which literally translates to The Inn) serves exquisite Italian food in a cosy, intimate environment. Inside La Locanda, a touch of Italy unfurls - the style of a traditional Italian bistro is evident from the menu and wine selection to the décor and wallpaper. La Locanda has given Italian cuisine a modern renaissance twist to produce the very best in fresh food and delicious wines all served by friendly, attentive staff in a casual dining atmosphere.

A simply classic Italian menu is written on the blackboard with frequent changes:

• three homemade pastas;
• four main courses; and
• four desserts.

Andrea makes his own pasta on a daily basis - Pappardelle with duck and pea ragu is the signature dish. The food is simple, seasonal and authentic in a "whatever's fresh today" kind of way.
